Fathers Day Climbing Challenge

The Fathers Day Challenge presented by Walt’s and Venture Out at the Alpine Tower was a fun filled day of climbing. The staff from Venture Out and Walt’s Very own Camp Department manager, John Shannon, belayed while encouraging participants to climb higher exceeding many of their own expectations. The 60’ tower is a series of telephone poles with climbing holds and obstacles such as rope ladders and hanging “tootsie rolls” (AKA hanging poles with holds). A variety of climbers took the challenge. Ages and skill levels also varied. Walt’s and Venture Out both rent various types of gear to get people started on their next adventure.
