I have been running these pedals for the better part of a year and I can honestly say that these are the best pedals I have ever ridden. My previous pedal was the 7700 Dura Ace made famous by Lance Armstrong and while the action on them was great, their durability left something to be desired. All of my complaints with previous generation Shimano pedals have been fixed with this latest version of pedals. The updated design includes a wider pedal body which allows more of your power to go to the cranks and also alleviates hot spots that cause discomfort and can be found on other pedal designs. The old plastic plate that was on the older style Shimano pedals has be replaced in favor of an all metal plate which saves money on part replacement in the long term. In 08 Shimano has let all this technology trickle all the way down the 105 group, so there is a pedal for you at any price range!
