The park offers not only paved trails with amazing views and access to the Katy trail, but it also has some of the best maintained and technical challenging trails in the St. Louis area. Land managers have been working closely with Gateway Off Road Cyclists (GORC) to convert an old silica quarry into a Mountain Bike park. GORC members have volunteered hundreds of labor hours to make an impressive network of trails throughout the rolling hills and they have 250 acres total to play with, so expect more everytime you visit. Primitive camping is available for $7.00 per night, camper cabins that sleep up to 8 people and offer electricity, though no running water, go for $65.00 per night.
Directions
From Interstate 70 take Highway 40 east. Then go south on Highway 94 approximately 14 miles to the park entrance.
